An original oil on canvas, a Western genre piece, by artist Bob Day (Illinois, 1926-), titled The Stolen Herd. The image depicts a group of American Indian horsemen, nabbing a harras of pinto horses, in a Southwestern landscape, sunlight glittering through the dust. Signed in the lower right, housed in a painted wooden molding frame.
Condition
- canvas is slightly loose in frame, which is separating slightly at corners. Very light accretion across.
