Limoges Egg Trinket Box

A porcelain egg trinket box by Limoges. This porcelain egg features hand painted gold tone latticed foliate bands with spaces flowerhead medallions against a royal blue background, a banded gold tone metal rim with a central bowknot emblem, and three small sculptural feet. The interior is painted gold tone and bears a small sculpture of a branch with leaves protruding upward from a circular foliate medallion on the bottom. This egg is marked ‘pient main, Limoges France’ on the underside.

Condition

An interior sculptural aspect may be missing.
