Item Details
A collection of framed art. A pair of small oil paintings on board depict country scenes, and are signed ‘John Janning’ to the lower right. They are presented in matching black painted wood frames. A landscape gouache painting depicts a cluster of tall, medieval buildings at the edge of a mountain lake, with alps rising up beyond the town in the distance. ‘Chillum’ is penciled to the lower left, and (presumably) the artist’s signature, which is illegible, appears in pencil to the lower right. The plate marks are visible around the image area, and the work is presented under glass in an oak wood frame. A pen and ink drawing depicts a windmill within a board fence enclosure, and is entitled ‘Wind Power’, which is penned to the lower left. The artist’s signature, ‘GE Geivett – 1981’ is penned to the lower right. The drawing is presented with brown and pink double matting under glass in a brown flecked frame.
