Adrian Pearsall Mid Century Modern Sofa
Item Details
A Mid Century Modern sofa with built-in side tables from Adrian Pearsall (USA, 1925-2011). Pearsall was one of the premier designers of American furniture during the 1950s and 1960s. The upholstery on the sofa is an avocado green vinyl in a tweed weave. The frame and base are mahogany. On either side are two built-ins with white marble slabs for table tops. The sofa is on six round tapered legs.
Condition
The vinyl upholstery is faded, shows dirt and wear consistent with age. Intact, no tears or holes. The wood is faded, scratched and needs to be reconditioned. In good shape, however. One table leg on the back right is loose, needs tightening. The sofa has been recovered at some point, and some old fabric can be seen on the edges of the cushions.
