Pair of Framed Prints by J. Michael Hargrove

A pair of framed floral prints by J. Michael Hargrove, titled, ‘Indian Paintbrush’ and ‘Bluebonnet.’ These paintings are a part of a four piece collection done by Hargrove, who created the prints using an old-fashioned quill pen and India ink. These paintings are double matted behind glass in matching wooden frames; signed by the artist in the lower right-hand corner. J. Michael Hargrove (1950-2014) was a Texas native that specialized in architectural drawings, both American and European. He was also an avid gardener and has done a series of Texas Botanicals, including the Bluebonnet and the Indian Paintbrush. These botanicals are rendered in the time-honored style of the botanical illustrations from English gardening books.
