A bonded sand sculpture by Bill Mack (20th c., American) titled Essence. This framed wall-mount sculpture depicts a nude woman with her head lowered and tucked under her right arm, which extends upward and touches her scalp from behind. This dimensional image stands next to a large image of the woman’s face, staring rightward without expression. The woman’s right thigh extends beyond the boundary of the frame, adding depth and realism to the piece. This sculpture is signed by the artist in the lower right corner and mounted in a painted white frame.
