Item Details
A shield and spear from the Zulu peoples on Southern Africa. This black, brown, and white cowhide covered shield features two central ornamental stripes of small horizontal cut-outs and a rear support rail topped with an ornamental grouping of feather and fur. The shield is backed by two crossed Zulu weapons—a wooden club on the left side and a hand carved stone-headed spear.
