A sculpture after Demetre Chiparus (19h c., Romanian) sculpture titled Civa. Chiparus was one of the most important sculptors of the Art Deco era. This bronze, elephant tusk ivory, onyx, and marble sculpture depicts Shiva seated cross-legged in a pedestaled temple base. Civa was offered in a variety of different bases, with this covered temple being the most elaborate. This sculpture is composed of a bronze and ivory figurine with a banded onyx cap and dome, situated inside a marble structure.
