A five volume collection of books by Louisa M. Alcott, circa 1920-1930s. Included are four volumes published by The Saalfield Publishing Company, Akron, Ohio, with illustrations by Frances Brundage, best known for her drawings of children. These titles are Eight Cousins or The Aunt-Hill (1930), Little Women (1929), An Old-Fashioned Girl (1928), and Little Men: Life at Plumfield With Jo’s Boys (1928). Each of these books have black lettering on the spine and front cover. Published by Grosset & Dunlap, New York, is the book Lulu’s Library (1930). This volume has silver foiled lettering on the spine and front cover. All volumes are cloth covered boards without dust jackets.
Condition
Condition ranges from good to fair consistent with age and usage. Several volumes have cracked hinges. Fading and wear to the covers is evident.
