Item Details

A vintage Kellogg ‘Redbar’ Type 1000 telephone. The Type 1000 masterphone was first introduced by Kellogg in 1947, the company’s 50th anniversary, and was produced until 1957. Named for its bright red actuator plunger, the phone stood out from similar models in its simpler interior wire structure, making repairs easy. The casing and handle are made of molded, black bakelite, and an automatic dial is on the front. The bottom of the base is stamped Kellogg Chicago, 1000 Series, D1000HC2. Untested.

Condition

The cord has been taped, and there is a small rip in the cord near the top. Untested.
