A rare quiet birdmen, (Q.B.) aviation insignia sterling silver and cobalt blue enamel screw pin. The secretive club in USA for male aviators started in 1921 by World War I pilots and a subset of the 1919, the American Flying Club. Today, membership is organized into regional ‘hangars’ and made up of primarily retired airline, military and freight pilots and a few astronauts. Charles Lindbergh and Eddie Rickenbacker were notable members. Pin is marked Sterling.
