A Louis XVI Revival style tapestry gilt canapé or settee with open arms. This fine French style oval back settee is detailed with a gilt carved molded rope frame and top ribbon. Acanthus leaf detailing is found under the oval back, with carved rosette blocks over the fluted tapered legs. This settee is finished with a beige floral Aubusson-type tapestry seat, back and armpads, and nailhead trim. Item coordinates with salon set, and matches four fauteuils, item #16CIN109-085 and #16CIN109-086.
