A vibrant handmade Oaxacan wood carving of a frog by artists Manuel, Anjelico and Isaias Jimenez and a book titled Oaxacan Woodcarving: The Magic in the Trees by Shepard Barbash. Oaxacan wood carvings are a form of Mexican folk art. Individual artists create hand crafted sculptures from copal wood. The carving depicts a seated frog with outstretched arms. The frog is hand painted with vibrant colors including bright yellow, black, red and blue. The frog has a prominent black and yellow pattern throughout its body.
