A grouping of offset lithographs by Robert Thom titled ‘History of Pharmacy In Pictures.’ Thom (1915-1979) was an American illustrator who specialized in the portrayal of historic scenes for commercial clients. This series was commissioned by Parke-Davis. The lithographs depict the evolution of pharmacy. The scenes are from the following periods of Egypt 15000 B.C., China 2000 B.C., Damian and Cosmas 300 A.D. and the first apothecary shop 754 A.D. Each frame has a metal hanging bracket on back.

Condition

Wear is consistent with age and use. Frames have some scratches and scuff marks.
