A limited edition, 1972 woodblock print of Llama by listed artist, Jacques Hnizdovsky (1915-1985). This woodblock depicts a llama laying down with prominent tufts of fur, long neck, and outstretched ears. The prominent colors are black and white and the woodblock is pencil marked and signed to the bottom, ‘Hnizdovsky: Llama, 1972, 82/120.’ The piece is on a gray marbled mat with a white toned frame. There is a wire to the back for hanging and a paper pouch with an informational sheet on the artist. The informational sheet is branded by the Associated American Artists. Listed artist, Jacques Hnizdovsky was born in the Ukraine in 1915 and passed away in 1985 in New York. He is known for stylized realism in his woodcuts, his main medium.
