An artist-signed print by Robert H. Annesley. Robert ‘Bob’ Annesley (b. 1943), a member of the Cherokee tribe, is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma who works in a variety of mediums including oils, acrylic, watercolor, pencil, pen and ink, specializing in encaustic mixed media using beeswax to achieve his unique surfaces. He has had solo exhibits at the Cherokee National Museum, Five Civilized Tribes Museum, Heard Museum, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Philbrook Art Center, and Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, and many others. The print depicts two kneeling Native American Indians who face each other in a snowy, barren landscape, pointing weapons toward the sky. The artist’s signature is printed on the lower right. The artist’s penciled signature, along with the limited edition number ‘166/1400’ appears to the lower left. The print comes matted under glass in a simple wood frame and is ready to hang.
