A limited edition, 1975 original woodcut of Kiwi by listed artist, Jacques Hnizdovsky (Ukrainian, 1915-1985). This woodcut depicts a kiwi bird with prominent feathers, talons, and beak. The prominent colors are black and white and the woodcut is pencil marked/signed to the bottom, ‘Hnizdovsky: Kiwi, 1975, 93/100.’ The woodcut is on a gray mat with a blonde toned frame. There is a wire to the back for hanging and a Spicewood Gallery & Design Studio sticker. The Associated American Artists have an artists information sheet to the verso. Listed artist, Jacques Hnizdovsky was born in the Ukraine in 1915 and passed away in 1985 in New York. He is known for stylized realism in his woodcuts, his main medium.
