Pair of Judith Hall Aquatint a la Poupée Etchings
Item Details
A pair of original signed aquatint etchings on paper by listed contemporary American artist Judith Hall (20th century), titled Spring Fling and Narcissus. Both of the prints utilize a la poupée coloring methods. Spring Fling depicts a trio of flamingos standing in a surreal symmetrical pool of water surrounded by bright over-sized flowers. An embossed floral border is stamped around the image. Narcissus depicts a blue heron walking through a marshy landscape surrounded by bright white and pink blooms. Both prints are signed, titled, and numbered ‘H/C’ (stands for Hors Commerce, meaning ‘not for sale’) in pencil in the lower margins. They both have old price tags with the titles printed attached to their upper left corners. The prints are unframed, awaiting your choice of presentation.
