A pairing of framed English sporting aquatint etchings by listed artist Thomas Gooch (1750 – 1802). Featured are plates 1 and 3 from the six print series titled The Life and Death of a Race Horse. Each print is marked ‘Thomas Gooch inut & Fecil’ below the image while the top reads ‘Plate 1 _The Foal with it’s Dam_’ and the lower reads ‘Plate 3 The Race Horse After Running’. The prints are double matted in grey and cream, displayed under glass in a carved wooden frame. Hanging hardware present to the verso.

Condition

Fair. Top print has a tear in the image’s field.
