Ruth Perkins Safford Offset Lithograph
Item Details
An offset lithograph of a building interior by American artist Ruth Appleton Perkins Sanders (1892 – 1979). Perkins was most noted for, as one museum curator described it, ‘her portraits of building interiors.’ THis piece depicts a serene and quiet kitchen of the old days, with a large brick hearth, in which a cast iron kettle is hanging from a hook, with other cooking vessels to the side. A leaded glass window is in the background, with a chest and other kitchen equipment. The chair and stool are empty, and the kitchen is flooded with light. Signed in-plate; presented unframed, awaiting your choice of presentation.
