Boisgonthier Hand-Colored Aquatint Etching

Item Details

An original mid-century hand-colored aquatint etching on paper, signed Boisgonthier in pencil to the lower right. The print depicts a European canal that flows beneath a simple stone bridge and past several cheery stone buildings. The print is matted in white with teal and burgundy hand-drawn French lines. It is presented behind glass in a thin wooden frame with black trim and an eyehook attached to the top of the frame. It should be noted that this print is not the work of French artist Henri Boisgontier, as some online resources suggest.
