A collection of art and music themed books. The art books deal with Impressionism, two volumes of The New International Illustrated Encyclopedia of Art, a volume on Hummels, and the works of Norman Rockwell and Currier & Ives. One featured title is History of Art: The Spirit of the Forms written by Elie Faure. This book was translated from the French by Walter Pach. This deluxe edition was published by Garden City Publishing Co., Garden City, New York, 1937. The book is bound in dark blue with elaborate gilt decorations on the spine and front cover. Also included is the book Great Works of Music (Symphonies and Their Meaning) by Philip H. Goeff (Garden City Publishing Co., Garden City). This volume was inscribed to Bob, Christmas 1938, and signed by Phil. This book is three volumes in one.

Condition

Normal wear for age and usage. Dust jackets have been cut on two volumes. Fading and foxing are evident in several volumes. Frayed edges.
