Collection of Marine Colonel Ed McMahon Memorabilia

A collection of memorabilia from Marine Colonel Ed McMahon. Ed enlisted in the Marines flight program in 1942 and flew the OE-1 in the Korean War and left service in 1962 an honored, decorated veteran. During his time of service Ed flew eighty-five reconnaissance missions. The listing includes a pastel yellow Cross Creek polo shirt, size XL, with embroidered ‘Colonel Ed McMahon U.S. Marine’ to the left breast, 100% cotton; a sage green flyer’s class 1 coveralls size 44-L, composed 92% meta-aramid, 5% para-aramid, and 3% conductive fiber; and a framed offset lithographic print of Lady Liberty and American flag with an oval, digital photographic print of Ed in his uniform above ‘Our American Hero,’ presented under glass. Also features The Marines compiled by editors Edwin Howard Simmons and J. Robert Moskin, published in 1998 by Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. The title page has a personalized inscription to Ed from Phyllis and Dennis, December 2000.
