A Walter E. Smithe gentleman’s chest. Having seven central drawers with brushed nickel knob pulls, flanked by two cabinets with parquetry inlays to either side that each open to reveal two interior shelves. The piece boasts a serpentine front with continuous reeded columns to both front and back that also form the legs of which the piece rests upon, finished with a gold-toned metal tip. The piece is stained with a rich cherry finish, accented with a silk decorative tassel in goldenrod.
