Item Details

A mid 19th century folk art reverse glass painting with mother-of-pearl inlay. The painting features a sail boat and ship floating in glistening water with land and a brick lighthouse to the right. It is presented with églomis´matting in a black wooden frame; ready to hang.

Condition

- significant paint loss, consistent with age. Glass and painting are separating from frame, which is separating at corners. White mark to upper left corner of frame. Most of frame’s decorative trim has been lost.
