Prehistoric Native American Lithic Points

Item Details

A duo of prehistoric Indian points in a dark to black chert (flint). Both are bifaces. The largest, possibly Paleo-Indian, has straight lateral edges that come to a point and has a slightly concave base. The smaller is side-notched, with a slight convex base and appears Archaic. Both are older than arrowheads as these are pre-bow and arrow. Provenience is unknown and these have not been dated.
