1922 Rookwood Art Pottery Wall Sconce Candle Holder

Item Details

A glazed Rookwood art pottery wall sconce with a single candle cup. It is decorated in a cobalt blue glaze, over relief images of stylized roses on stems. The design illustrates the transition of the organic Art Nouveau period, into the geometry of the Art Deco. Having an impressed mark to the back, ‘XXII (1922)’ and numbered ‘1760’.
