Pair of Weary Willie Christmas Offset Lithographs

A pair of signed limited edition offset lithographs of paintings by well-loved clown illustrator Barry Leighton-Jones (1932-2011), titled ’Tis the Season and A Christmas Carol. The prints depict famous clown Emmett Kelly’s best known character, Weary Willie. The prints were released as part of The Emmett Kelly “Weary Willie” Estate Collection. A gold seal that reads “The Original Circus Collection” sits in the lower right corner of each; it is surrounded by a holly-laden wreath. A certificate of authenticity is attached to the verso of A Christmas Carol; it asserts the print is limited edition and is signed by Leighton-Jones, Kelly’s wife Evi, and the print’s publisher. Both prints are signed and numbered in pencil. A Christmas Carol is numbered 5326/9900 and ’Tis the Season is numbered 2250/9900. The prints are matted in white and presented behind glass in gold-toned wooden frames. Sawtooth hangers are attached to the verso of both.
