An original signed watercolor landscape on canvas by listed artist Alma Jordan Knauber (American, 1893-1947). The work shows a wide calm bay with small islands to the distant horizon, the right side bordered in a lush coniferous forest, with large boulders banding the waters. The painting is signed by the artist to the lower left corner and finished in a beveled and gilded frame. Alma Jordan Knauber was an Ohio landscape artist who studied and painted in Taos, New Mexico in the 30’s.
