A set of four undated volumes of The Works of Charles Dickens published by P. F. Collier Publishers. The books have lovely green cloth covers with gilded embossing to front board and spine. Included is Volume I containing Oliver Twist, David Copperfield and Our Mutual Friend; Volume V containing Pickwick Papers, Pictures From Italy, American Notes and Bleak House; Volume IV containing Old Curiosity Shop, Sketches By Boz, Hard Times, A Message From the Sea, Master Humphrey’s Clock and Miscellaneous; and Volume VI containing The uncommercial Traveller, A Child’s History of England, Barnaby Rudge, Miscellaneous and The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

Condition

- wear and fading to covers with corner bumping. Toning to pages and tearing to front end pages. Some pages are loose from binding. Gilding is heavily worn and missing in areas.
