WWII Ship Identification Models
Item Details
A collection of five World War II ship identification models. The models have various manufacturers and identify ships from the World War II era. Two were manufactured in Richmond Hill, New York, and have no identification markings; one is marked ‘Uganda Class British CL 8-44’ by H.A. Framburg & Co. in Chicago, one is marked ‘Leander Class Brit. 12-43’ by H.A. Framburg & Co. in Chicago, and the last is marked ‘Iowa Class (US-BB) 4-45’ by H.A. Framburg & Co. in Chicago. All of the ships are made of wood, painted with gray paint with painted metal and wood details.
Condition
- to fair. Wear associated with age and use. Two loose screws. minor paint loss. Surface dirt and grime and paint residue.
