Erté "Selection of a Heart" Signed Serigraph
Item Details
A signed ‘Selection of a Heart’ serigraph by Erté . The serigraph, from the ‘The Twenties Remembered Again’ suite, depicts a woman of the period lounging in a luxuriously draped bed with black and white linens. Her fitted black and white gown almost becomes an extension of the bed itself. She pulls her torso up to look down languidly at four pairs of hands in various flesh tones offering her hearts each in a different pattern. Her gaze directs an arrow to one heart. Above the curve of her back is a blue and green patterned orb with two distinct points in black. She is set against a vivid canary background. The piece is signed in the lower right corner and embossed ‘1978 Circle Fine Art Corp’ and numbered 39 of 300. The serigraph is framed under glass in an antiqued silver and black wood frame and a white mat. This lot coordinates with 16BOS007-001 and 16BOS007-003.
