Antique Meissen Cobalt Porcelain Trinket Box
Item Details
An antique Meissen cobalt porcelain trinket box. This gorgeous, hand-painted trinket box dates to circa 1870-1923. The base and cover contain a deep cobalt background with intricate hand-painted floral designs to the top of the cover, inside the cover, and on the body of the base. These flowers are daisies and roses in prominent colors of pink, purple, yellow, and orange. Adorning the floral scenes and borders are hand-painted gold ‘S’ scrolled accents. To the underside of the box are two hand-painted blue swords, underneath the glaze.
