Henry T. Harvey Oil Painting "The Millers' Cottage"
Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas by well-listed artist Henry T. Harvey (born 1908), titled The Millers’ Cottage. The painting depicts a quaint thatched roof cottage with water mill attached, chickens roaming freely and pecking in the dirt, trees looming behind the house and mountains resting on the horizon against a blue sky; meanwhile, two women and a child meander about with baskets to hold their treasures. The painting is signed by the artist to the lower right and mounted in its original beveled wood frame with cast gesso applique and gold tone finish. The verso is marked in pencil by the artist with his name and the title of the painting.
