Antique New Companion Treadle Sewing Machine Table

Item Details

An antique New Companion cast iron treadle sewing machine and table. The treadle mechanism still moves freely, although the belt connecting it to the sewing mechanism needs to be replaced. The machine has been outfitted with an electric light. The cast iron base sits on casters, and is decorated with scrolling details and the words ‘New Companion’. The hinged lid lifts the sewing machine with the original steel fiber cable. The table has two drawers to either side, with some assorted sewing accessories included.
