An original vintage Mexican gouache on mottled amate bark paper folk art painting. This image is very typical of the bark paintings popularly painted in Latin America; it depicts a nature-themed pattern painted in flat areas of vibrant colors. This image depicts two birds and a small deer-like mammal resting among a vibrant pattern of green, blue, yellow, and red flowers and leaves. The painting is unsigned. It is float-matted on a brown backing and is presented behind glass in a thin wooden frame. A wire is attached to the verso for hanging.
