A Vest Pocket Autographic Kodak camera. Kodak manufactured this camera from 1915 to 1926 and advertised this as a ’Soldier’s camera’ during WWI. The camera has a meniscus lens or a U.S.-speed 8 rapid rectilinear with a ball bearing shutter. Its camera back had an area through which notes could be written onto the paper backing of the 127 film(which can still be purchased today), the ‘autographic’ feature – invented by Henry J. Gaisman. This camera was made in Rochester, N.Y and comes with a black leather carrying base.
