JLMenau Cobalt Blue Porcelain Plate

A beautiful vintage cobalt blue plate was made by Jlmenau Graf von Henneberg Porzellan of East Germany in the 1930s-40s. The plate is from their Echt Kobalt line and features a heavy gold gilt floral design highlighted with a moriage-style raised gold, gilt rim decor, and flower buds to the rim. The bottom of the dish has the ‘J L MENAU Graf von Henneberg Porzellan’ hallmark, ‘Made in East Germany,’ ‘Echt Kobalt,’ ‘7426/4 N: 2468/K,’ and ‘11’ to the reverse. The plate dates between 1934 and 1949, per this maker’s mark. This wonderful piece displays beautifully and is great for serving nuts, candy or other nibble type items. It is a companion piece to item 16CIN033-006.
