1892 Map of the Middle East

An unframed double map, with a physical map titled ‘Palestine’ to the left and a physical-political map titled ‘Asia Minor and Persia’ to the right. The former shows elevation and geographical features in Palestine, with an inset depicting the environs of Jerusalem. The latter depicts most of the Middle East during the period of Ottoman rule. Both maps are hand-tinted. The piece is dated 1892 in pencil by a previous owner, which conforms with the borders depicted on the maps. It folds to the center. The cartographer and publisher are not given.
