A vintage original oil painting by listed artist Ronald Himler, titled, The Vedette, dated 1985. Skillfully painted, the artist depicts a horseback-mounted sentry positioned in a small clearing in a snow-laden wood, probably beyond his army’s outposts to observe the movements of the enemy, as daylight is waning in the winter sky. The painting is signed and dated by the artist to the lower right, and mounted behind gray suede mat in a beveled wood frame with distressed silver finish. The artist has signed his name, title and date to the canvas verso.

Condition

- painting is lightly creased along top of painting from pressure of underlying stretcher bar.
