Thai Ram Crown Dancer Headdress
Item Details
Exquisite Thai Ram-Thai crown dancer headdress. This gorgeous traditional headdress was used in the classical Thai literature dance, for example Ramayana.
These headdresses were mostly worn by a Thai performer emulating the king, queen, prince, or princess. The ‘Chada’ is also worn by the Thai King on the very important events e.g. ascended to the throne ceremony, parliament ceremony etc. In the Thais believe, the King is from heaven and he is the supposed god.
The contemporary reproduction headdress is made of wood and leather and covered by paper, then gilded with 24K gold foil and decorated with highly reflected crystals. Dangling gold colored sequins complete the amazing look. The headdress comes with a wooden display stand.
This amazing piece will be the centerpiece of any display.
This item can be transferred to our Cincinnati Showroom for a $20 fee.
