Antique Hay and Grain Two Handled Farmer's Scythe Sickle

Item Details

A large blade on a long branch style handle, with two smaller handheld extensions to allow for full body motion when in use. The handle is 5’ long. This primitive scythe, or sickle, would have been been used for farming hay and grain. The blade on this piece measures 20’ and does show appropriate oxidation consistent with age and use.

Condition

Any wear present is consistent with age and appropriate use of this item in farming.
