Item Details

An antique non-dial brass tone candlestick or upright desk telephone by Western Electric, circa 1913. The phone features an adjustable transmitter with a black Bakelite mouthpiece, a straight shaft, and a round base. The receiver is also black Bakelite. The top of the transmitter has a plaque reading ‘Property of American Tel & Tel Co. 323 Pat. USA Jan 14 1913’. The top of the base is marked ‘Western Electric Comapny’ and ‘Pat Appd For Pat in USA Aug 16 04 Sept 13 04’.
