Vintage Cast Iron "Shakespeare" Bookends

Item Details

A pair of vintage cast iron bookends, marked ‘Shakespeare’ to the front. The bookends are a casting of books on a shelf, each having the name of a famous author on the spine, including Milton, Longfellow, Byron, Tennyson, Shelley, and more. The books are set at and angle and some are stacked; all are cast on a stylized shelf unit which rests on a concave, triangular base. Unmarked, with a lovely brown and black antique patina.
