A pair of monumental Staffordshire style, English ironstone lions. Large lion passant rests a paw on a round ball. With dense coleslaw decorated mane and tail. Attention to detail given to the mouth, with sharp teeth and a rolling tongue. Lions are mounted to ovular ironstone bases with cobalt blue spatter or sponge decoration. Great folk art items.
