An original oil on canvas landscape painting. The painting seems to be signed Y.W. Tam, which could potentially mean this is the work of listed 20th century Chinese artist Yiu Wong Tam. The painting uses heavy impasto texture applied directly with a palette knife to create a neutral-toned forest scene. A body of water cuts through the center of the scene, sending rippling textures across the scene. The painting is signed to the lower right. It is presented in an ornate gilt frame with a wire attached to the verso for hanging.
