Collection of 1970s German "Wandertag" Medals
Item Details
A collection of twenty six 1970s German ‘Wandertag’ medals. Wandertag is the Deutsch word for ‘hiking day’ and represents a favorite German pastime. The medals are comprised of metal, having gold tone and silver tone finishes, many with attached ribbons. Each medal is from a different city which is noted along with the year obtained. There are four medals from 1975, fourteen medals from 1977, six medals from 1978, one medal from 1979 and an additional round silver tone medal marked ‘Schwab.’
