Original Mixed Media Artwork by Gerald V. Lilly
Item Details
An original mixed media tempera painting on canvas by Gerald V. Lilly (1943 – ) titled ‘Summer Green.’ Depicted is a painting of a farm set against a grassy mountain range in Sedalia, Colorado. This piece is signed to the lower left corner, Gerald Lilly, and is housed in a painted rustic wood black frame with a wood and cream linen border. The artist finishes his paintings with an acrylic varnish which protects the painting and functions like a glass covering but does not impact the color or detail of the artwork. Lilly studied under the famous watercolorist Frank M. Hamilton and with teachers Leon Franks, Vernon Kerr, and Harlan Young. Many compare his style to Andrew Wyeth and is known for his beautiful nature paintings. His artworks have appeared in ‘Decor’ magazine.
