Early Canadian Edition Dr. Seuss "Horton Hatches the Egg" Book

An early Canadian edition of Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hatches The Egg. The book is hardback with tan cloth and black lettering, but it is missing the dust jacket. The book was published by Random House in 1940. The images are stone lithograph and is stated on the cover page ‘Lithographed in the United States of America’. There is a child’s name written in green marker to the top of the inside of the front cover.

written inscriptions, missing dust jacket, signs of wear, frayed edges
