1948 Reds Signed Book with Gus Bell Glove

Item Details

An autographed 1948 Cincinnati Reds book and a store model Gus Bell glove comprise this lot. Author Lee Allen wrote a book called, ‘The Cincinnati Reds’ in 1948; this first edition book was signed by Lee Allen, Bucky Walters and Paul Derringer on the title page. Walters and Derringer were pitchers on the Reds teams when they won the 1940 World Series. There is a vintage 1950s Gus Bell glove in this lot. It was made by Draper Maynard and Gus Bell’s facsimile signature is embossed into the leather on the inside last finger.
